The Seattle School fills a unique niche in the US and Kingdom of God. It recognizes that people have been damaged by the effects of sin and are deeply scarred. They need a special place to be re-tooled with life skills that promote healing for themselves and provides them with ways to duplicate those experiences to others who have similar needs.

I don't know any other school that merges psychology and theology in such a personal and practical way. People often come with hurts, angers, fears, and doubts. The Seattle School accepts them like they are and teaches them to embrace their ongoing story. Their stories start with themselves, involve troubles but the story is proceeding and yet to come to it's conclusion. Each story is unique, yet, they share similar problems and responses. They learn that God is involved in their stories and that even troubled waters can have redemptive purposes.
